Industry Specific ComplianceThe Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) on June 13, 2025, Mandates the Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) for All Approved Pharmacy Institutions.

PCI has reiterated its directive for all PCI-approved pharmacy institutions to immediately implement the Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS). This initiative, previously communicated through various circulars, is a mandatory step to enhance faculty attendance monitoring.

Institutions were initially instructed to purchase AEBAS devices and begin the onboarding process via the central PCI portal (https://central.pci.ac.in). Non-compliance could lead to the withdrawal of their decision letters. Once onboarding is complete, each institution will receive a unique URL to their registered email for user (faculty) registration and setting up a nodal administrator on the AEBAS portal. User manuals for both the nodal admin and faculty roles are provided (Annexures A and B, respectively) to guide this process.
